Here is a short description of our English Club which will take place on Oct. 12-17, 2026. We invite you to be part of this project through prayer, financially and by sending a team of people who will be able to serve our students and help to know Christ through the English lessons.
What is an English Club?
English Club is one week of teaching English through creative lessons which include teaching Bible stories as part of the lesson. Moldovan university students and high school students are the participants and Americans are the teachers /tutors. Moldovans love to be with Americans and they want to learn English. It’s a perfect opportunity to combine your natural English ability with the chance to share the greatest message in the world. And don’t worry, you will get all the training you need. We want that in a love atmosphere our disciples will be free to invite their friends who are interested in learning English and the Bible. This will be a mixed format project ( building relationships, teaching English, studying the Bible with a main speaker, games, fun and spiritual discussions) where unbelievers get to know Jesus as their Savior.
What do the Americans do at this project ?
As an English Teacher you will be given the task of building relationships with a group of five to nine students every week by teaching English, speaking to them about yourself, but also how they can have a relationship with God. You will spend time with them in small and large groups taking part in activities you plan. You will help them learn English just by speaking with them! It is a great opportunity to present the truth boldly and watch God use you in another person’s life. The rest of your time will be spent bonding with American and Moldovan teammates as you study the Bible together.
Who has the chance to come? Everyone who would love to be a teacher and to have an adventure for one week with Moldavans. If you love to work with youth, have teacher skills, know how to connect with people, and have a desire to share Christ in a Russian orthodox environment then this project is for you.
What is the purpose?
Through this English Club we want to build strong friendships among our disciples. We want to give them the chance to invite their unbeliever friends where they can learn English and hear the Gospel. Through this project our students get encouraged in the Word, fellowship with each other, and get to know more English and Christ.
We want to GROW IN FAITH and knowledge of the Word of God, helping others to do the same in order to MAKE A MARK on Moldova and the rest of the world.
Where it will be?
We will have the project at our Cru national office in the capital city of Chi inău. You will be staying in a hotel not far away from the office. Every evening we will have English with students, but during the day we will have personal meetings with those interested to know more about their teacher and other topics. That will be from Monday to Friday. From Friday to Sunday we will go to a Christian camp where we will spend the weekend all together there. The idea is that we will have more of the American culture, to have one evening of American party and the other one a Moldovan party. We will talk more about the details later.
