Greg and Michele McClanahan are the founders and driving “Human” force behind Harvest Evangelistic Association. They sold everything they had and two weeks later headed for Mexico and began working in full time mission evangelism.  They didn’t even take time to travel around to churches in the USA to raise support! Abiding in Jesus

Bill Taylor is the weather chief for KENS 5 in San Antonio, Texas. He grew up in northern New Jersey and first moved south when he was 19. For most of his life, he thought “down south” was Virginia. Then, he found out about southwest Louisiana and the Cajun life. Between crawfish boils and Mardi Gras, he squeezed in a degree in journalism from McNeese State University in Lake Charles.

Bill began his television career there, too, at NBC affiliate KPLC. Upon landing the weekend weather chair, he enrolled in the meteorology program at Mississippi State University. Then, it was on to Dixie and the state of Alabama. Following a four-year study of the skies over Montgomery, where he worked for WSFA-TV, he applied for a weekend weather position at KENS 5.

Bill has served the viewers of South Texas since 1996. The most important thing he does is keep people ahead of severe, life-threatening weather situations. But THE MOST important thing he does is serve his three girls as a dad,” Bill says. “I enjoy EVERY SECOND I’m blessed to spend with Carissa, Kendall and Peyton. And, when we can, my beautiful wife Jamie and I really enjoy a round of golf and a good wine.”

Bill stands 6-foot-3, but he’s never taller than when a big storm is approaching and it’s all hands on deck in the KENS 5 studio. That’s when the otherwise wild-and-wacky, up-for-anything TV personality displays the kind of gravitas needed for weather that’s become a matter of life and death.

Among the many hats that Bill wears, he is also one of the pastors at Gateway Fellowship Church. He is heavily involved in”Bill’s Elves”, the Alzheimers Association and the Cancer Society. Bill seems to pop up in many city functions, interviewing people and chlidren somewhere. Bill is a perfect example a community role model and is a perfect example for all of us as an asset to society and one who follows the teachings of Jesus.

Jesus, The Center of Our Life

Meg Grier is the host of the God and Our Dogs Show broadcast at 9 AM Saturday mornings on Boerne Radio 103.9 FM, on the Boerne Radio App, and later, on your favorite podcast site.

Meg’s black lab Belle inspired The God & Our Dogs Show. Meg learned lessons about God through Belle which inspired her to rely on God the way Belle relied on her. Their relationship grew by spending time together, learning about one another, developing trust, and those experiences transformed their bond. With a new perspective, relying on God became Meg’s lifestyle.

During Meg’s varied career as a business owner, writer, banker, and financial rep, she heard clients’ stories about their hopes and dreams along with their actions bringing them to life. On her radio show and podcast, Meg now enjoys listening to guest stories about lessons they learned about God from their dogs.

In her spare time, Meg enjoys spending time with family and friends, volunteering with Hill Country Daily Bread Ministry, and renovation projects. Healing and Faith

Marcus Burgos Jr. had just finished his fourth year at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. He had been studying Music Business with a focus on Saxophone with a dream of someday performing. Then on July 18, 2021, with scant warning, Marcus Jr went from casually working out in his college home to lying in a hospital bed, unable to walk or talk. His life was hanging in the balance. There were no major clues that a trial so serious could change that dream so quickly.

Physicians discovered Marcus Jr. was born with an arteriovenous malformation, a clump of veins formed incorrectly in his brain that burst. The doctors performed open brain surgery to correct this life-threatening condition. The results of AVM mimic a stroke. In Marcus Jr.’s case, the muscles on the left side of his body, his occipital lobe, and a small portion of his brain stem were affected. This meant his ability to walk, talk, see, and even breathe became extremely difficult.

Before his injury, Marcus Jr. recalls getting “cold feet” in his relationship with God. He was getting frustrated with the rules of Christianity and decided to become “less strict when it comes to religion.” Shortly after his shocking experience, he talked to God and decided to devote every aspect of his life to him. All of the distractions he had before this time were taken away.

Marcus Sr. asked the Lord whether his son would live, He put a verse on his heart almost immediately. 1 Samuel 20:8b says “And the Lord told him, ‘Yes, go after them. You will surely recover everything that was taken from you!’” He believed this was God’s way of saying “Yes, Marcus will surely recover ALL!”…

Praise. Praise God with the Burgos family that their son did not die and is recovering from the ordeal.
Pray. Ask the Holy Spirit to pour out a special anointing over Marcus Jr. and his gift of music and worship. If you know someone going through a trial, pray that God will show them through.

Salvation to Abundant Life

Lesa Jagmin is a director for re|engage in San Antonio, TX . Re|engage is discipleship-based enrichment for every marriage – the healthy, the struggling, and the broken. This ministry draws married couples to the church, giving them a safe place to move toward oneness through small groups, teaching, and stories of hope.

The goal of re|engage is not primarily to save couples from divorce, or even to make healthier marriages. The goal of re|engage is to fashion couples into better disciples of Jesus Christ. Re|engage believes as our hearts better align with God’s plan and desire for our lives, all relationships (including our marriages) will improve. Through the felt need for better (or more tolerable) marriages, couples will come looking for help. Ultimately, what they offer them is Christ.

Re|engage is a small-groups based ministry. Unlike traditional counseling or mentoring where couples meet with an individual or one other couple, we believe life (and marriage) transformation best occurs in the context of relationships with others. This is a big difference from many other couples and marriage ministries.

Serving Others

Joining us today is CEO Megan Legacy and Program Director Janiece Cantu from San Antonio Hope Center. SA Hope Center began over 30 years ago as a benevolence ministry of Oak Hills Church.

In 2014, the SA Hope Center’s program model took a shift from a food pantry program to a multi-faceted social service agency that addresses the root causes of poverty to help the community become holistically sustainable.

Their programs are relationally-focused and provide various programs including financial literacy, job training, senior services, nutrition assistance, health and wellness screenings and classes, parenting classes, spiritual programs, and many more.

SA Hope’s passion is to bring that purpose to life through compassion, empathy, and a Christ-like culture. We exist for one reason: to be the voice for the voiceless and to empower them to succeed. There are some values that are inherent to who we are. Their Christ-like culture fosters these values, which they live by on a daily basis. Genuinely caring about those they help, combined with their passion to empower, makes them who they are. SA Hope is love.

Values of SA Hope Center

EMPOWERING – RELATIONSHIPS – COMPASSIONATE-SERVICE – DIVERSITY

SA Hope provides those in need the tools necessary to get back on their feet, not only by helping them in the moment, but by providing them with a plan that will positively impact the rest of their lives. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime. Trust is important. Assuring those who come to SA Hope that there is hope for their future empowers them to believe again, and having confidence in their services is key. Empathy is a part of who they are. SA Hope understands the struggles and are ready to help. They welcome all those in need and they go above and beyond to help them succeed in life. SA Hope judges no one. Anyone seeking help has found it with them. No matter the circumstances, they do their best to guide everyone to a brighter future.

John 10:10

Yalew Kebede is an elder at the Ethiopian International Evangelical Church in San Antonio Texas. Yalew and his wife Sophia retired in the year 2004. In 2005 they went to the Philippines on a mission trip. They rented a house and started to disciple college students and teach the word of God in the town of Dapitan. While they were there, they were able to see an entire community come to faith in Jesus Christ and because of this there was a church established in the town of Napo. As they realized the Lord was using them, they returned to the Philippines for the next 4 years to work as missionaries. They were able to finance the mission in the Philippines by working for a couple of months as a consultant in the environmental field. Since that was Yalew’s background before he retired.

Yalew and Sophia then began to work in Ethiopia to reach the people there with the gospel of Jesus. The official religion in Ethiopia is Eastern orthodox, which has some similarity with the Catholic Church belief system. By following the leading of the Lord they found God had opened the door for them to bring the message of the gospel to Ethiopia. The 2 scriptures they have used to make a difference in their message is in 2nd Corinthians 5:22 and Hebrews 2:11.

The 2nd religious group that the Lord used to bring the gospel to was Islam. They are seeing many Muslims turning to Jesus to get saved in Ethiopia. The numbers are in the thousands. The role of Yalew and Sophia is to disciple new believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord has helped them build 3 churches with 2 more in the process of being built. One church that is being built is for a Muslim sheik they came to faith in Jesus and has many followers.

Yalew and Sophia returned in January 2023 from a two-month trip to Ethiopia. They are now in the process of returning to Ethiopia for one entire year. Their faithfulness to God’s calling has changed many lives and it is apparent that Jesus is the Lord of their lives.

Our Biblical discussion is on, John 10:10 – The thief comes to destroy, Jesus came to give life…

Loving others

“Communities Under the Bridge” was Formally “Church Under the Bridge.“ Known as “CUB”.

2020 was a turning point for this ministry. More than 55,000 evening meals were served from the CUB gates in 2020! As a result, 2021 brought a new year, with a new name, and a new mission, and they became “Communities Under the Bridge”.

Their new facility houses a breathtaking sanctuary, a commercial kitchen, a dining room, and a small clinic for medical and dental care.

Faith

Michail and Tatiana (Tanya) Duca were born when Moldova was part of USSR so, we grew up in a very antichristian environment. Because of communist propaganda they studied at school that there is no God and religion is just a way to control masses. It affected their worldview so, they were raised as atheists. Moldova became an independent country in 1991 after the USSR has fallen. From that moment many missionaries came to ex USSR countries to share the Gospel.

Both Michail and Tayna believed in Jesus when they were students. They met Christian students from Campus Crusade for Christ (now Cru) that helped them to know more about God. After graduation they decided to join Cru. The stories look similar but, Michail and Tayna grew up in different parts of Moldova and met for the first time in 1999. At that year Tanya became a Cru staff and moved from a small town to the capital. Michail joined Cru in 2002. At the same year Michail and Tayna got married.  To date, they served God in different sites, different countries and ministries.

In 2014 Michail and Tayna moved back from Russia where they served for 5 years in a Muslim area. After 15 years in student ministry, they are now serving in Digital Strategies and Leadership Development. Michail and Tayna believe that God has many other adventures for them.

Our Bible discussion is on Faith. This should be an excellent Bible Discussion

Mel Fechner, is the Executive Director of HIS Bridge Builders-San Antonio. HIS Bridge Builders is a movement of God uniting Christians across cities to transform urban communities through education, health, employment, and spiritual development for the glory of God. The ministry was established in 2006.

Monthly neighborhood meetings are sponsored to build unity in the community and to give us opportunities to develop relationships with the parents and other care givers of our children.  Each event includes a free meal, live Christian music, clothing, and seasonal items such as school supplies, Thanksgiving dinners and Christmas gifts.  Evangelism and prayer support of the neighborhood occurs weekly as men make door to door visits to offer the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Radu and Liuda Cucos have been full-time missionaries with Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU) for over 20 years to the Republic of Moldova.  Moldova is the little country between Ukraine and Romania. Before the war in Ukraine, Moldova has been the poorest country in all of Europe. The average income in the city is around $350 per month. Therefore, many people work outside of the country to provide for their families. This leaves spouses and children without the companionship and home structure needed to create and sustain a solid home environment. This also gives rise to a divorce rate of over 55%. Right now, the evangelical Christians only make up 2% of the population with an uphill battle to share the love of Jesus and what it means to live in holiness as they teach, new and old believers alike, to follow the teachings of Jesus.

However, it is evident that God is alive and working in the ministries of dedicated missionaries like Radu and Liuda, who are committed to Jesus as they strive to become more like Him in a country where people have little hope and need a savior. These are caring people, which has been proven by the humanitarian care given to over 300,000 Ukrainian refugees fleeing for their lives.

Our Bible discussion will be based on Ehpesians 4:17-32. Solving conflicts.

Independent recording artist, Glenn Green, began his deep-rooted love for music as a child learning hymns and songs played from his grandfather’s autoharp. He never imagined this humble beginning would blossom into a more than 35 year career in the church. Over the years, Glenn has become a well respected musician in South Texas, serving as worship leader to many congregations and establishing himself through frequent appearances at coffee houses, restaurants, retreats, schools, festivals, and community events. His five independent projects are finding a niche with their diverse sounds ranging from soulful, thought-provoking ballads to high-energy pop-rock praise to his most recent Christmas album, “Ornaments”, released in the fall of 2021.

Mission work has always been at the heart of Glenn’s ministry leading him to establish connections in Uganda over the past 12 years to train musicians for the church. This has led to bringing more than 30 guitars into the country to share a multiplication teaching model and leading songwriting workshops. Because of his desire to connect with musicians around the world, Glenn has also built relationships in Israel resulting in leading his own tour for songwriters in 2019. In an effort to provide more opportunities for Texas songwriters Glenn organizes regular songwriting retreats.

These past 3 years have been particularly fruitful with several song cuts – most notable, “Right Now” by The Taylors and “Count the Stars” by Lifeway Music choral division. His newest venture is the release of his first children’s book entitled, “Snow Day” to be released in the fall of 2022. In addition to his full-time songwriting schedule, Glenn serves on staff with Write About Jesus, as a board member of Ner LeRaglai, and as an itinerant Worship Pastor throughout the San Antonio/Austin corridor. He resides in Spring Branch, Texas with his wife, Sharon, and son, Tyler.

Our Bible discussion will be on 2 Chronicles 7:14. This is a must see program.

Shane Carter is the founder and executive director of Project 10:27. Project 10:27 is a non-profit ministry focused on providing one-on-one Christ-centered care to people in need throughout the community. Their name reflects their commitment to the primary mission as stated by Jesus in Luke 10:27, ”Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and, Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Through the development and heavy investment in one-on-one relationships, they offer care to those who are experiencing difficult times in life such as grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, loneliness, and food insecurity. They have a particular passion for engaging senior adults who are home bound or transportation challenged. We recognize that relationships move at the speed of trust so they are dedicated to building trust by staying in weekly contact with each beneficiary through telephone contact and face to face meetings in their home for conversation, prayer, bible study and fellowship with the goal of connecting each beneficiary to a local church congregation.

They would love for you to join their campaign to end loneliness by helping them in any of the following ways:

Chad Clark is the Co-Founder of C.D. Clark Diamonds and Design Studio, along with his wife Stephanie. C.D. Clark Diamonds and Design Studio is dedicated to creating one-of-a-kind jewelry through a merger of cutting-edge technology and time-honored jewelry making traditions. As a family owned business, the Clark’s bring over 40 collective years of experience in the world of fine jewelry to the table. Chad and Stephanie are highly respected gold buyers and dealers in precious stones and estate jewelry, with extensive experience in bespoke custom and remount pieces.

Somewhere along his success in business, Chad found himself personally lost and totally broken. With the power of sin that was in control of his life, Chad could not see any way out. With a sincere cry to God for redemption and freedom, The Holy Spirit took a hold of Chad, dramatically freed him from bondage, created a new life in Jesus and began to mold him into the man God so desired. Chad is now an ordained pastor. Today, he serves Jesus everywhere he goes…including in his business, during business hours.  There are now people who come to his store seeking prayer for the breaking of Satan’s chains on their lives. On Chad’s business card is written; Luke 10:19-20, which reads: “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” Chad truly believes in the power of prayer, the power of Jesus’ redemption and the power of change in The Holy Spirit.

I read this testimony from Chad and felt the need to share: “It’s always a great privilege to bring God’s word that He lays on my heart. It’s only by his grace and mercies over my life that I’m able to do this. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, The LORD is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” Lamentations 3:23-24

Brenda Kay Deyo is a local acrylic painter here in San Antonio Texas. She is the owner of Brenda’s Creations Art Studio and Gallery and CEO & co-founder along with her husband Roger Deyo, of Artist Night Out Experience, now located at Rolling Oaks Mall.

Brenda struggled much of her life with loss and misfortune. But, because of her grandmother’s encouragement and investment into her life, her love of art and the seed that was planted in Brenda’s heart by the Holy Spirit, at a young age, Brenda has emerged with amazing insight and strength to reach a world for Jesus that few would ever visualize, much less even try.

As a young girl Brenda was inspired to be an artist like her grandmother. Self-taught, encouraged and guided by the memories of her grandmother, Brenda has developed her skills over time. Today, Brenda is a minister of word of God. She has taught for 20 years as a youth pastor, teacher, and preacher. She sells her paintings and teaches art to beginner artists and uses the word of God as a foundation for her instruction. She along with her husband own the only Christian Night Club in San Antonio known as Artist Night Out.

Brenda Kay’s spiritual gift is in the prophetic, and her art is abstract in nature. Her style is a mix of expressionism with impressionism. She uses symbols as keys to interpret scripture in a visual way. Biblical images appear as she paints during worship telling a story and expressing the atmosphere through color and imagination. Brenda believes that art is a gift from God and can be used as a tool to bring light into a dark world. She began an outreach called Artist Night Out Experience as a way of reaching out to the public using creative gifts to deliver the message of Christ. Brenda believes that art is more than just something pretty, she believes that God can use artists to change the world by using their gifts to bring people together in a new creative way. Brenda Kay has also ministered with her live painting services. Having performed live painting for many church organizations and events like Last Chance Ministries at the Alamo Dome for an event called Crusade 300 and the Unsealed Scroll Prophesy Conference with Jonathan Cahn at the Grand Hyatt.

Brenda also believes in giving to non-profit organizations and has done so through donating her gift of live painting and raising money by selling what she paints. One of her most recent events she has donated to was Adult and Teen Challenge’s their and yearly banquet at the Trinity University here in San Antonio. Brenda has also been interviewed on tv and radio stations several times, has ministered at many out of town and local church services, concerts, weddings, and parties and is now host and MC at Artist Night Out Experience.

Brenda knew she was called but didn’t understand why, after everything she had been through. So, she just followed the leading of the Holy Spirit as he taught her about value. God began showing her, her own value and now the Lord uses her gift to help others. Today she ministers to artists teaching them about their value and how much God loves them. A true success story!

Join us for an amazing discussion and teaching from 1Peter 2:9 – A royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people.

Originally from Virginia, Amy has called Texas home since 2005.  After graduating from the University of North Carolina with a degree in Mathematics, Amy spent 5 years as an Air Force officer and B-52 Navigator.  After 8 years as a Worship Pastor that included leading weekly worship services at Lackland Air Force Base, as well as earning a Masters in Divinity, Amy knew the next phase of her life would be spent making a difference in the lives of American airmen and soldiers.  In her spare time, Amy loves running, traveling with Charlie and their family, cooking, and gardening.

In 2019, after years of leading worship for basic trainees at Lackland Air Force Base, Amy and Charlie Haley created Sparrow Songs. Their vision was to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to service men and women and their families by helping to bolster and support them in their faith. Sparrow Songs provides and entirely funds four weekly worship services to approximately 28,000 Basic and Tech trainees each year. The mission of Sparrow Songs is to share, equip, and strengthen American troops and their families in the love of Jesus Christ.

In addition to providing live worship at Lackland, Sparrow Songs then aims to build on the relationships established during Basic and Tech training by supplying resources such as Christian music, teaching, community, outreach, and encouragement for these same trainees as they leave Lackland and continue on in their Air Force careers.

At the age of 25, Skye Alison began serving in churches in five different states, for over a 25 year span. After resigning from pastoral work, he brought some men together and created the ministry, iOutreach, Inc., in which Skye is President.

What is often considered ‘uncommon’ Christianity today is New Testament normal. So iOutreach Inc. designs the tools and nurtures the passion among believers for Lifestyle seed sowing and evangelism. Moving Christians beyond the fear barrier, their goal is to turn the average believer into above-average and help ordinary churches become extraordinary. They have developed a Seed sowing system using business size cards linked to targeted gospel video presentations and system of follow up useful for individual believers as well as churches or small groups.

The circle of Life begins with a seed. Every genuine believer wants to obey Christ and make a difference!  There are hundreds of non-threatening ways these unique ‘seeds’ can be shared with friends and associates or ‘placed’ in high traffic areas. With iOutreach Inc. even the most timid person can become an active participant in sharing the greatest good news on the Planet.

In this segment, we will discuss the value of your faith and the importance of sharing it. Philemon 1:6

Chris Soto has a deep love for God’s people. Especially those the world has given up on. Chris was one of those people. But God, never gave up on him. First and foremost, Chris Considers himself an Ambassador of Jesus Christ.

Chris has spent time in jail. And in 2009 in the Bexar County jail in San Antonio, Texas his life changed forever. It’s where he came to know Jesus as his Lord. Its also where God planted a seed to bring Hope to those that are incarcerated, even during the time he was locked up. The difference was Chris was as free as could be. He was forgiven and redeemed. Jerry Dyke is the National Director of Church Mobilization with East-West Ministries International. The vision of East-West is to glorify God by multiplying followers of Jesus in the spiritually darkest areas of the world. They exists to mobilize the Body of Christ to evangelize the lost and equip local believers to multiply disciples and healthy churches among unreached peoples and/or in restricted access communities.

Using simple, Biblical, and reproducible tools, the missionaries and national partners of East-West, invite the lost into a relationship with Jesus. They empower local believers with simple tools to share the gospel, disciple new believers, and plant churches so that the unreached are reached by the gospel.

East-West deploys teams of missionaries and works with national partners to start church planting movements in the spiritually darkest areas of the world. Their work spans nearly 60 countries across 10 major world regions.

In today’s discussion, we are going to use Matthew 9:35-38 as a base where Jesus addresses how the laborers are few and the harvest is plentiful…

From what I have gathered, the major cornerstone in John David’s journey as a missionary in helping the orphanage, stems from the finding and recording of several songs he wrote that were lost for several years in a shoe box. This is an amazing and God directed story…

Ken Freeman has the ability to connect to people of any age group, culture, or background. He lives with a passion to bring people to know Christ and to make a deeper, more intimate, commitment to Jesus.

The son of an alcoholic mother and an absentee father, Ken’s life was filled with abuse and neglect. Despite a horrifying childhood, Ken defied all odds with one choice that would change his life forever, his decision to accept Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. With that one choice Ken’s years of mental and physical abuse turned from a useless mess, to a powerful message.

God has blessed Ken as he has traveled throughout the United States and Canada with his message for over 30 years, serving as a youth leader for about 12 years, and an evangelist for well over 25 years. He has seen over 200,000 decisions for Christ, one of which was his own father, been in over 3000 churches, written two books, and built a ministry around this one choice to accept Christ. One thing is certain; God has given Ken a passion for the lost and the brokenhearted that is evident within his ministry and his everyday life.

We will discuss – #butGod  – “A Mess to a Message!”  –  Those who have been wounded deeply, God will use Greatly!  You definitely do not want to miss this program…

By providing free medicine to the school children, their families and communities surrounding the villages, Real 4 Christ is able to drastically change lives forever. Chris and Lisa are blessed with two amazing children. Their daughter, Crystal lives with her family in Oklahoma and their son Brandon with his family in Texas.
