Sasha & Sveta Gherman

Our family

Sasha and Sveta. We are married since 2012. Both graduated from Moldova Bible Seminary. We started serving the Lord before we met each other and serve Him till today. We have a daughter who is 8-year-old. Her name is Rineli (the meaning of the name is “Jubilation to God”). She loves to give presents to people, to do hand made little things, and invite her friend home.

Teen ministry
Our family is serving in Kishinev Bible Church for 17 years already. We started teen ministry “Restart” to non-believer kids. We are still doing it. We gather kids (10-14 years old) every and teach them the Bible, we have good conversations, eat together and have fun together. Also, annually we run a teen summer camp for non- believers as well. Kids that attend the teen ministry “Restart” invite their friends to the summer camp. After the camp we invite all the kids to attend the teen ministry and after a while we invite them to attend the church. Glory to God many teens attend the teen ministry and the KBC church as well! It is great pleasure to pastor teens and see how they grow in the Lord and start serving alongside with us. The team of volunteers grew to the number of 12 and now we cannot add more people to the team. Several teens are waiting their turn to join the ministry. We pray God’s wisdom for them.

Prayer meetings

Every Thursday night the church meets for the prayer and worship. Sasha is responsible for that ministry. We meet, worship, Sasha teaches a Bible lesson. People share how God was working in their life during the week and share their prayer needs. When all the needs are expressed, we sit at the tables in smaller groups and pray.

M4 Learning community in Moldova      

Master, Mission, Multiplication, Movement

Another ministry that God entrusted us is to serve pastors who have a desire to plant a new church. Our church is involved in M4 platform that teaches us how to empower pastors to plant t a new church. Our role (Sasha and Sveta) is to facilitate all the process starting from planning the event, printing materials, find and prepare the venue, food deliver, stay at the stage and give the directions of the learning process. This event takes place every 6 months to see at what point pastors and their team are and where they are going to do next.

EXPONENTIAL conferences in Moldova 

Our family is also involved in EXPONENTIAL conferences in Moldova that take place every year. EXPONENTIAL movement is a platform where pastors and church leaders come to learn, to encourage one another, to build relationships for the common goal to serve our God and people. My wife Sveta and I are one of the team members who work on running the EXPONENTIAL conference in Moldova.
